Valentino Garavani: The Fashion Designer with a Playful Side

Valentino Garavani, also known as Valentino, is an Italian fashion designer who has been in the industry for more than 50 years. He is famous for his elegant and sophisticated designs that have graced red carpets and runway shows all over the world. But aside from his impeccable taste in fashion, there are a few things that you might not know about this legendary designer.

Firstly, did you know that Valentino was born in Voghera, a small town in Italy? His passion for fashion started at a young age when he would sketch designs on paper and make clothes for his sisters’ dolls. After studying fashion design in Milan and working for several designers, he opened his own fashion house in Rome back in 1960.

Secondly, Valentino’s love affair with luxury handbags can be traced back to the 1970s when he designed the iconic ‘V’ logo bag which became an instant hit among celebrities like Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor. Since then, he has created numerous handbag collections that feature timeless designs made from high-quality materials such as leather and suede.

But what sets Valentino apart from other designers is his sense of humor. Yes, you read that right! Despite being known for his serious demeanor on the runway, Valentino has a playful side which often comes through during interviews or social media posts.

For instance, back in 2015 when he released a book called “Valentino: At The Emperor’s Table,” he shared some of his favorite recipes including pasta alla carbonara (which he claims to cook better than any chef) and tiramisu (which he says needs lots of coffee).

He also once joked about how much easier it would be if we could all just wear pajamas to formal events instead of getting dressed up. And let’s not forget about the time when he photobombed Anne Hathaway at the Met Gala in 2015 and made a silly face while she was trying to pose for the cameras.

In conclusion, Valentino Garavani is not just a talented fashion designer, but also a funny and charming personality who brings joy to everyone he meets. His love for luxury handbags is evident in his work and continues to inspire designers all over the world. So if you ever get the chance to meet him, don’t be surprised if he cracks a joke or two!
